Roles & permissions
Documentr uses role-based memberships in cloud organizations:
- Owner — organization owner
- Admin — administration in the web app
- Conservator — documentation / mapping
- Registrar — registrar role in loan/collection context
- Viewer — limited read access
Inviting members, changing roles, and removing members is limited to Owner and Admin. Conservators, registrars, and viewers do not see the invite action. Promoting an existing member to Admin is limited to the Owner and platform Super-Admins.
Invitation flow: Invite members. The Solo variant (single-seat, no cloud team) has no member management.
Finalized condition reports are archived and read-only. Content corrections go through a follow-up report. Owner and Admin can still delete a finalized report in the web app (soft-delete) — only after a warning dialog that requires typing the report title or the word “LÖSCHEN”. The action is written to the audit log. Non-finalized reports can be deleted by any authenticated member.
Not every UI action is finely gated by role yet; the role model is the foundation for further permissions. Department-level rights are planned for later stages.
